New Ashford Select Board approves recycling-sharing deal with Lanesborough.

New Ashford Select Board unanimously approves intermunicipal recycling-sharing agreement with Lanesborough. Chair Jason Jayko's board voted to accept the deal at $250 monthly ($3,000 annually) for access to bottle, can, plastic, and paper recycling offered Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon, with summer scrap-metal collection. Board member Mark Phelps corrected contract language before approval.

The board flagged concerns over restrictive weekend hours and directed MLP Manager Ken McInerney to survey residents on recycling options.
